We are happy to offer this special 4-day retreat, designed specifically to nurture a small group of writers and artists who have been experiencing feelings of overwhelm, fear or inadequacy. These feelings are also known as the “P.O.S. Syndrome,” a phrase coined by Gary in 1987 to describe that moment in a writer’s journey when he or she suddenly views the work-in-progress as a piece of . . . well, you understand.

So! If you have P.O.S. and yearn for a few days for yourSelf, we invite you to join us on September 10, 2009. Your goals will be ours: for you to rest, restore, renew. It’s that simple. With ample time alone, in nature, and in the safe community of kindred spirits, we trust that you will make a joyful transition from “Uh-oh!” to “Ah-ha!” to “Ahh!”

To nurture you along this journey, we offer nearly 100 peaceful acres of forests, streams and wildlife; the calming, immaculate and sacred spaces of the retreat center; simple and comfortable accommodations; and, from local organic farms, nourishing meals cooked with sufficient love and spices.

During the retreat you’ll be scheduled for a private mentoring session with therapist/consultant, Roslyn Malkin—who specializes in locating and rescuing blocked artistic inspiration—and WISI Creative Director, Gail Provost Stockwell. You’ll also be encouraged to reconnect with your inner wisdom—and the work you truly love—through one-on-one heart talks with yourSelf, and participation in Roslyn’s Listening Circle sessions.

Within the safe and sacred environment of the Circle, with Deep Listening, these sessions will remind you of the uniqueness and beauty we each, as individuals, bring to this world. And yes. That means you!

Registration Information

Choose ONE:

• EARLY Discount Registration - $495
  (Payment in full must be received by July 10th for Early pricing)
• REGULAR Registration - $515
• Deposit only - $230
  (Balance of $285 due or before August 10th, 2009)

Retreat fee includes housing for three nights, all meals and snacks, mentoring services, and of course the many ways in which to experience Spirit Fire's magical aura, within the retreat center itself and among the "95 acres of meadows, forest, wetlands and streams which offer countless places of serenity and solitude for walking or contemplation."

Cancellations: Due to the nature of this retreat, registration is extremely limited. If you withdraw before August 10, 2009, you may have your payments either refunded or applied to a future retreat session, minus a $25 cancellation fee to cover processing costs. After August 10, 2009, fees are non-refundable unless we're able to fill your slot. However, you may apply 60% of your payment to a later WISI retreat, product or service.
